Reconnecting People & Habitat
Four Dimensions is a cooperative of landscape designers, builders, and maintenance gardeners specializing in native plants. We are based in Oakland and build and maintain landscapes throughout the East Bay.
Our mission is to create and nurture gardens that connect people to their local ecosystem, using naturalistic designs and enduring materials.
Our Story
Four Dimensions Landscape was founded in 1984. The company founders, Michael Thilgen and Linda Juratovac, were pioneers in the creation of native gardens that evoke natural landscapes. They built a reputation for high-quality, environmentally conscious work.
After 40 years as a landscape company acclaimed for its expertise in native plants, Four Dimensions became a worker-owned cooperative in 2024. As a coop, we share in the decision-making about company policies, culture, and priorities. In a democratic work place with a shared vision, worker-members feel more pride, ownership, and responsibility towards each other and the work we do together.

We welcome applications for our maintenance or construction crews at any time. Please send a resume and cover letter via mail, or email to office@fourdimensionslandscape.com. Job openings are advertised on our social media pages and craigslist.
