Chris Garcia
DESIGN/BUILD DEPARTMENT MANAGER
The son of an East Bay Regional Park Ranger, Chris’s fascination with the idea of creating a “park in one’s own backyard” began when he was a kid building a garden pond. That little wildlife pond inspired his studies in Landscape Architecture and Ecological Design at U.C. Berkeley and a post graduate fellowship researching therapeutic gardens at healthcare centers across the U.S. His love for native plant communities was sparked while restoring the San Diego Botanic Garden’s native plant collection and hiking the beaches, mountains, and deserts of Southern California. Chris returned home to the East Bay and joined Four Dimensions in 2017 with the intent of designing native gardens that heal the connection between people and nature. He is an avid propagator of rare native plants and maintains a home nursery.
